Liturgy

Altar Servers

Trains and encourages children from age 10+ (and adults) to serve at all of the weekend Masses including the Spanish, Youth Mass and special liturgical celebrations. The children are formed into teams, each team having a team captain who is responsible for assisting the younger members in their training, assigning stations for each server, and leading by example. Servers also participate in Mass during Christmas and  Easter Triduum. Through this ministry, altar servers become a vital part of our Eucharistic celebration. Contact:

Art and Environment

Help to decorate and prepare the environment for liturgical celebrations throughout the year. Time required is on as needed basis.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

This is for anyone (training necessary) who would like to help with the distribution of the Eucharist during Mass or to bring Holy Communion to the sick and homebound of the Parish.

Ministros de la Eucaristía 

Asisten al sacerdote en la repartición de la Eucaristía durante la misa, llevan la communion a enfermos y personas que cuidan enfermos en las casas y a los centros de envejecientes.

Lectors

This ministry is for anyone who would like to do the readings and announcements at Mass. Training required. Contact:

Lectores

Están a cargo de prepar y leer las lecturas de la misa, también preparan y leen las oraciones de los fieles.

Music

The music ministry consists of the 4:00 p.m. Saturday choir, 8:00 a.m English Choir, 10:00 a.m. Spanish  Choir and 12:00 p.m. Youth Choir. The music ministry provides music for all the liturgical celebrations  of the parish. We need volunteers as choir members, cantors or instrumentalists.

Sacristans
Cares for the altar and its appointments and prepares for liturgies. Sacristan volunteers are needed for every Mass. Contact : Ernie

Ushers

Assists in seating, the Communion procession, distributing of bulletins, maintaining decorum and the handling of any other emergency that might arise at liturgical functions. Volunteers are always needed at every Mass. Contact:

Vocations

For those discerning a call to priesthood or religious life as a brother, sister or priest. Contact Fr. Dennis or Deacon Santos.

Community Life

Youth

The Office of Youth Ministry serves our young church in the areas of Christian formation, community service, and various social gatherings.

Bereavement/Grief

To provide compassionate companionship during times of anticipatory grief. Peer support groups are offered for those who have experienced a significant loss in their lives

Welcome

Distributes information and answers questions about the parish, stewardship and ministries at all Masses on the on the first weekend of each month. We assist newcomers to register in the parish. Contact: 

Communion to the Sick & Homebound

Arranges to have Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion bring Communion to the homebound and sick of the Parish.

Knights of Columbus

Men’s fraternal organization founded in 1882 with ideals of charity, unity and patriotism. Grand Knight:
 

Education

Baptismal Program

Explains the ritual of the Sacrament and the role of the Christian parents and godparents. Meets 6 times a year. We invite parents who are willing to share stories on such topics as the importance of spending time with your children, childhood memories you have of your faith as you grew up, the power of the parents example, good and bad, and memories you would like your children to have of you. Help with child care and serving food is also needed.

Bautismos

Explica el Rito del Sacramento y el papel que hacen los padres y padrinos en al educación de estos niños. Para tomar las clases llame a la oficina de educación religiosa.

Cursillos de Cristianidad

Retiros de tres dias de meditación absoluta que lo ayuda a acercarse más al Señor. El retiro se ofrece varias veces al año.

Educación Religiosa para Adultos (R.C.I.A.)

Preparación sacramental para adultos que necesitan los sacramentos de iniciación cristiana.

FOCCUS

Communication tool helping engaged couples to a deeper understanding of how they communicate. Couples are needed to help administer FOCCUS and provide follow-up (see  Marriage preparation  for more information).

Marriage Preparation

Is for married couples who would like to volunteer to helping engaged couples in preparation for their wedding, signing up for Engaged Encounter and Couples FOCCUS.
